Are you a Westerville South High School junior or senior? Congratulations! This is such an exciting time, and one of the long-awaited milestones of senior year is senior photos. Your first step is finding a senior photographer, so you are in the right place! We are here to help you learn about what to expect for senior pictures for your Westerville South or surrounding area senior.
What are the yearbook requirements for Westerville South Senior Photos?
Whether you attend Westerville South High School or elsewhere, one of the very most important steps is to understand your school’s yearbook requirements. In order to make sure your senior picture is included in the yearbook, you will want to verify specific requirements your school has in place. For example, most schools require images to be portrait-oriented (vertical). Some schools require headshot style cropped images only, while others allow full body or anything in between. Our senior sessions include a wide variety of images so you will have plenty to choose from! Don’t worry, we can walk you through the whole process and ensure you have an image that meets Westerville South High School’s yearbook photo requirements. Sometimes things change over time, so it is necessary to always check with your school yearbook coordinator even if you recently had a sibling graduate from Westerville South.
Senior Photos of Westerville South students
We love working with students from Westerville South High School for their senior photos. This experience is so much more than a yearbook photo! We love being able to capture just who they are at this moment in time. Some Wildcats will show off their letter jacket or other Westerville South gear - school uniform, marching band instrument, or sports equipment. We believe in providing a personalized experience so your senior can have a session created just for them! We are not exclusive to Westerville South. We also photograph students from Westerville Central High School, Westerville North High School, and other school districts such as Gahanna and Olentangy Schools.
Choosing a Senior Photographer for your Westerville South High School Student
Like most things in life, you have a lot of choices in your senior photographer. We know it can be an overwhelming process, and you want to make sure you do it right. This is a once in a lifetime experience for your senior, and an investment for you in portraits that will be enjoyed for decades to come on your walls, in an album, or on your computer. I’m a mom, too, and that’s why we walk our clients through every step of the senior picture process. I want to make this easy by clearly explaining our senior portrait experience below.
First, we take the time to get to know your senior so we can create a session that meets their vision. This special experience should be unique to your seniors likes/dislikes, plans, and ideas. This is not a cookie-cutter process where your photographer picks a park and you simply show up and talk for the first time. Instead, we provide you with an exclusive prep guide to prepare for the session, and offer a style consult to go over outfits and details before the big day. We have been photographing in the Columbus area for over 12 years, so we are happy to suggest locations that fit your session vision best. Some Westerville South High school students decide on a nearby location such as Inniswood or Uptown Westerville, but others are interested in going into Columbus Short North area for an urban look or Schiller Park in German Village for a more unique park away form home. When we talk, we will help you and your senior decide on a location that is just right for you! All of this preparation and pre-planning is available so your senior is ready to actually enjoy their session!
The actual session is a ton of fun for everyone, even if your senior is nervous about how they will look in photos. This is the benefit of selecting a photographer with experience with posing and working with seniors. We bring a lot of creativity and ideas to the session, so your senior can relax and be themselves.
Another important consideration in choosing your photographer is what happens after the session. At Westerville Senior Photography, we fully edit your final images with a classic, clean edit and that includes retouching. This means your senior doesn't need to worry about a minor breakout or bruise from last night's practice, and you know you will be left with images that have a timeless look. We also work directly with our families to help them choose which senior photos they's like to display on their wall or in an album, and we use only the top professional print labs in the country to provide quality products made to last. Some families also like to have the digital images to keep forever, and this is also an option. We are proud to offer flexibility in our collections with a range of choices, so you decide what you want to invest and purchase only what you want.
