We've pulled together some highlights from Matthew's senior photography session, which began in a photo studio. Often when we first suggest studio photography to our seniors, it is met with a resistance because they are picturing stuffy and stiff pictures. This could not be more wrong! The studios we use at Westerville Senior Photography are NOT your parents traditional photo studio. They are modern studios that give a totally different vibe while still achieving some classic poses.
Inside the Photo Studio
Our session started inside this photography studio, which was great because it was a very cold Winter day! We had planned to do some of his photos outside afterward, but due to the extreme temperatures we did have to postpone. But we used the studio to it's fullest, having Matthew wear several different outfits and showcase his love of reading by bringing some books for props. Some things just work better inside - especially in the Winter! This is not the only time I have showcased reading in senior photos, but I love what we did here with some of his favorite books!
I love studio spaces with exposed brick. This modern twist on a studio look is certainly popular now but has a timeless element to it as well.
In this particular studio that I frequent, we've got the option of a mobile studio background wall, which resembles the more traditional studio look but with a twist. We have a couple color options to choose from, and we certainly put it to use. On something a little more close up, it creates a background perfect for headshots or something more formal. When we step back a bit, it can create more of a behind-the-scenes look that we know is popular now. I love the flexibility it provides.
Whether you want to be inside or outside for your custom session, we can help! With knowledge of the best locations in Columbus, we can keep you in Westerville or find someplace different for your session.
