For the second half of Ailey's session, we spent some time up at the Westerville North High School softball field and it was nothing short of amazing! She had the best mix of outfits for her softball senior photos and brought her softball bat, softball, and softball glove for some of them as well! Stay tuned for the end of this session where things really got fun as we created some super unique and different photos!
Softball Uniform for Senior Pictures
The question I always have for athletes is whether or not they want to wear their uniform for senior pictures. Sometimes this is a tough question to answer! After all, it is what they spend a lot of time wearing during their high school years. Then again, they already HAVE photos in their full uniform during games so is it really worth it to put it all on for senior pictures? One suggestion I often make is to simply wear the jersey with a pair of jeans or casual pants. This is what Ailey elected to do, and I love how it worked out! She is able to show off her school colors on her field, but also looks super cute with her professional hair and makeup and a pair of jeans and sneakers.
What makes this her softball senior pictures even more fun is that she also brought her other jersey to change into. Like most athletes, they wear more than one uniform top depending on the game, and the Westerville North Ladies Softball team is no exception. Having her change allowed her the change to show off both for her senior pictures AND create some variety throughout our time at the high school softball field. I love how we were able to use this cardinal wall since she was wearing grey. We would not have done that if she had her cardinal jersey on as it would have been too much of the same color.
Sports Photos in a Formal Dress
While this isn't the first time we have done baseball senior pictures or softball senior pictures, this was the first time I had a girl wear a dress on the softball field sporting both a high heel AND a cleat.
I love that we were able to show off her sporty side with some ultra feminine flair. The softball bat and the dress were the perfect combination for a super unique and fun senior picture set! And of course, a little something extra at the end with her sitting against the fence in her formal dress with her softball gear.
Ailey's session was seriously fun from beginning to end and I was so excited for her Image Premiere to be able to go through her photos with her. I love that she chose an album to enjoy a lot of her photos all in one place as those are probably my very favorite senior photo product. In this very digital age, it's great to have something to hold onto as well. Ailey, the countdown to graduation is officially on!!
