It was a COLD December day when Chloe and I headed out for her senior portrait experience. Her session took place in uptown Westerville, which is fitting because she attends Westerville Central High School. No matter where she lives in the future, she can look back at these photos and remember where she spent her high school years.

One of my most requested locations for senior photography sessions is on State Street through Westerville, also known as "Uptown Westerville". This is a great spot all year, but in the Winter I like it especially. It holds it's small town / college campus vibe and the architecture and color is unchanged here even as other locations such as parks look cold and empty with no leaves on the trees. Really the only indication of the season is the wardrobe of choice for the senior!
We are often asked if we do sessions when it is cold out, and yes, we photograph seniors all year. Given the yearbook deadlines for the local high schools, it isn't uncommon for us to have a busy December. And Chloe's session date was pretty cold! We moved quick and kept on time so we could get through all of her outfits before needing to head inside to warm up.
Chloe and I chatted throughout her session and the time passed quickly. She has an independent spirit and I could just tell that when she decides what she wants, she is going do to what it takes to make it happen. Congratulations, Chloe!
