Katie, a Westerville Central High School senior in Central Ohio had her sweet pup join us for part of her senior session! Her dog tried to steal the show, but Katie was too photogenic and rocked every photo we took. Seriously! I love that she chose a beautiful August day for her senior portrait experience, as we knew her Fall schedule would be very busy.
Westerville Central Senior Photography with Dog
How sweet are these photos with her dog?! It was a hot day, but we made it work and found shade where we could. Having her pose in the grass with her dog kicking her feet up was a fun pose to set up because we really had to work around her dog & match their position!
The sweetest close-up photo with her and her dog! Seriously bringing a dog for senior pictures can be so worth it!
Westerville South Cheer Photos
The poms definitely showcased her time as a cheerleader at Westerville Central. She then added her letter jacket which displays her letters for both Cheer and Lacrosse and I love how they turned out. Here’s a few!
But her cheer career is so much more than cheering at her high school football games. For this final shot of the night, we lined her arms with many of the metals she has earned from competitive cheer. Her mom and a friend of the family so graciously helped me get these on her as quickly as we could and positioned just right as they were VERY heavy. She has truly accomplished so much and this is only a highlight of those accomplishments. What you really can’t tell about a photo like this is just how much time goes into setting it up! Katie was a total rock star with her arm strength as we created this image!
Photos Near Log Cabin
Back to earlier in the session, we walked across the park to a couple of log cabins which provided a unique setting for some additional photos. A quick outfit change gave more options in her final portfolio of images and I think it was a great choice for this spot!
Obviously a good headshot was in order for this Westerville Central senior. Absolutely stunning! She has the most beautiful eyes which really stand out in a close-up.
A fun senior picture on the step of the log cabin.
And of course one more close-up along the fence. Using fences and buildings in a senior session is a great way to add a lot of posing options that you don't have standing still.
Literally so many favorites from Katie's session it's hard to narrow them down!
Then we went down to a creek area for a few more senior photos in a Summer sundress. The water was cold but it was worth it for just a few fun pictures before heading to her next location for photos with her horse!
If you are looking to plan the perfect session for your senior and your dog, we can help! Or maybe you are looking to show off some of your hard-earned metals during your senior photos. Love the water? Ohio is full of creek and pond views, too. Whatever your vision, we can bring it to life. Get in touch to find out more!
