Ian's senior portrait session in Westerville was full of variety including showcasing his musical talent in an outdoor amphitheater. Ian spent his high school years in the Olentangy Orange High School Marching Band, so of course we had to highlight that during his session.
Westerville Park for Olentangy Senior Pictures
We started his session at a local park. Fun story: the parking lot was packed that day, requiring us to park across the street and walk a bit further to the area where we planned to start shooting. On our walk, we stopped at this little spot for a few photos and one of them ended up being a family favorite and placed on their wall!
Amphitheater Senior Pictures for Marching Band Instrument
We finally made our way over to the amphitheater and Ian put on his Olentangy Orange High School band T shirt to represent one of his biggest hobbies. He also brought along his alto sax, which I loved. Hopefully he will continue to have music be a large part of his life, but if not, he will always have these photos to remind him of the time he played an instrument in high school band!
A Walk Through Campus
After the amphitheater, we walked through the small college campus on the way to uptown Westerville and stopped for a few shots.
Musical End of the Night
As sunset approached, we finished Ian's session in Uptown Westerville and had to get a few more with him and his saxophone against this cool wall mural outside a music studio. We took a few more just before dark and had the glow of the street lights around us before we began our long walk back to the car.
Ian has a great sense of humor and we shared a lot of laughs during his session. I can tell that he is very hard working and is going to be very successful in whatever comes next. I really hope he continues to play instruments, whether it be alto sax and flute that he plays now, or something else in the future. Congratulations, Ian!
